Where: Hvalfjörður · Iceland
About: A hilltop house on the Hvalfjörður fjord in west Iceland, with 360-degree views over the water and the surrounding mountains, and its own private natural hot spring hidden in the landscape beside the house. Three bedrooms, including an ensuite master, and two full bathrooms, sleep six. Forty-five minutes from Reykjavík.

About: A wabi-sabi hideaway two kilometres above Lake Garda, in Brenzone, made up of two old stone rustici and a restored vintage Airstream, renovated by its owners in a spare, minimalist Japanese-influenced style.
