What: Les Brumes

Where: Montaulieu · Baronnies Provençales

About: A circular house on a terraced hillside above the medieval village of Montaulieu, in the Baronnies Provençales of southern France. The whole building is a cylinder wrapped in curved glass, so the landscape runs uninterrupted around the inside of it and the light moves through the room as the day does. It was built by Clément Salvaire, co-founder of the family firm Lumipod, which makes a modular building system, during the first lockdown of 2020, originally as a retreat for his own family.
